Philadelphia Carved Tall Post Bed B65

This Philadelphia Tall Post Bed is shown in walnut in a king size. The headboard is made from a single 23” wide walnut board. It is available to order in any mattress size, and other wood species such as tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, or mahogany are available. The posts are turned by hand from massive four-inch thick solid stock sourced from the same tree for consistent color and grain. The posts feature hand carved acanthus, stop fluting, Marlboro feet and finished with flame finials . Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, secured with heavy bed bolts, creates a strong, long-lasting structure, and thick solid rails add rigidity. Each bed is custom built to suit your mattress thickness and preferred bedding height. The slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and the bed is finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac. Other bed designs can be viewed here.
