Pennsylvania Blanket Chest bc102

Handcrafted in walnut, this Pennsylvania blanket chest features single wide board walnut sides and a single wide board crotch lid. At the case, measurements are 46 inches wide by 19 inches deep and 25 inches tall. The lower section of the case incorporates three hand cut dovetailed drawers finished with molded lipped edges. Built with traditional joinery, the case features hand cut dovetails. The chest front is personalized with sulfur inlay initials and accented by geometric inlays on the lid made from cherry and bird eye maple. The interior includes a built in till and an original grab lock. Original strap hinges are attached using rivets through the lid and back as well as clenched rosehead nails. This piece is finished with an aged shellac finish and fitted with authentic cast brass drawer pulls made with the lost wax method.

Chests can be built to client specifications in a range of sizes, styles and wood species, including walnut, tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, and mahogany.
