Mule Chest bc108

Custom built from wide pine boards, this mule chest features a traditional configuration with a deep upper trunk situated over two full length drawers. Single wide board pine panels are utilized for the case construction rather than several boards glued together. At the case, measurements are 46 inches wide by 18 inches deep and 42 inches tall. Built with traditional joinery, the case features hand cut dovetail construction. The lower full length drawers are also hand cut dovetail construction. The trunk lid is hung using traditional iron strap hinges. The entire piece rests on hand turned feet and is finished with a custom applied, vinegar paint decorated aged finish and fitted with brass Sheraton drawer pulls.

Chests can be built to client specifications in a range of sizes, styles and wood species, including walnut, tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, and mahogany.
