Drape and Swag Tall Post Bed B51

This Drape and Swag Tall Post Bed is shown in mahogany in a queen size. It is available to order in any mattress size, and other wood species such as tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, or walnut are available. The posts are turned by hand from massive four-inch thick solid stock sourced from the same tree for consistent color and grain. The posts feature hand carved reeds and drape and swag. The full cornice is hand carved with flutes and drape and swag and includes a frame for a textile top within the cornice. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, secured with heavy bed bolts, creates a strong, long-lasting structure, and thick solid rails add rigidity. Each bed is custom built to suit your mattress thickness and preferred bedding height. The slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and the bed is finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac. Other bed designs can be viewed here.
