Dining Table with Carved Apron t120
This custom dining table is shown in quarter sawn white oak at 42" wide by 84" long. The legs are hand turned from heavy four inch thick white oak, and the aprons are joined to the legs using deep mortise and tenon joinery. The aprons are hand carved. The top is made from matching, consecutively cut quarter sawn boards, creating exceptional flecking figure. The table features a physically distressed aged finish and is completed with several coats of hand rubbed shellac and varnish. The side and arm chairs are also by E. Jacobsen Furniture Maker. Tables can be custom built to your specifications in a variety of sizes and wood species, including tiger maple, flame birch, walnut, cherry, and mahogany.
