Chippendale Tall Post Bed B45

This Chippendale Tall Post Bed is shown in walnut in a queen size. The headboard is made from a single 21” wide walnut board with amazing crotch figure. It is available to order in any mattress size, and other wood species such as tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, or mahogany are available. The posts are turned by hand from three-inch thick solid stock sourced from the same tree for consistent color and grain. The posts feature Marlboro feet and are topped with turned finials. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, secured with heavy bed bolts, creates a strong, long-lasting structure, and thick solid rails add rigidity. Each bed is custom built to suit your mattress thickness and preferred bedding height. The slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and the bed is finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac. Other bed designs can be viewed here.
