Cannonball Bed B15

This popular cannonball bed is shown in walnut in a queen size and is available to order in any mattress size and a range of wood species such as tiger maple, cherry, flame birch or mahogany. The posts are turned by hand from three-inch-thick solid stock sourced from the same tree for consistent color and grain. The headboard is made from a single wide board with dramatic double crotch figure. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, secured with heavy bed bolts, creates a strong, long-lasting structure. Thick solid rails add rigidity. Each bed is custom built to suit your mattress thickness and preferred bedding height. The slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and the bed is finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac. Other bed designs can be viewed here.
