Cadwalader Style Tall Post Bed B70

This Cadwalader style bed was created using features from the original Cadwalader wing chair and fire screens. The bed was built in mahogany in a California King Size. The headboard is made from a single 26” wide figured mahogany board. It is available to order in any mattress size, and other wood species. The posts are turned by hand from four-inch thick solid stock sourced from the same tree for consistent color and grain and are finished off with hand carved finials. The harry paw legs were hand carved from solid 5 1/2” thick mahogany. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, secured with heavy bed bolts, creates a strong, long-lasting structure, and thick solid rails add rigidity. Each bed is custom built to suit your mattress thickness and preferred bedding height. The slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and the bed is finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac. Other bed designs can be viewed here.
