Spanish Refectory Table t196

This custom Spanish Refectory dining table is shown in walnut at 42" wide by 84" long. The base consists of two main supports built from two-inch-thick walnut and assembled using deep mortise-and-tenon joinery. Heavy stretchers at the top and cast iron and hand-forged stretchers at the bottom unify the base. The top is made from two-inch-thick walnut, all sourced from the same tree to ensure consistent color and grain. The table features a physically distressed aged finish and is completed with several coats of hand-rubbed shellac and varnish. Tables can be custom built to your specifications in a variety of sizes and wood species, including tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, and mahogany.
