Queen Anne Low Chest ch201a

This Queen Anne low chest is handcrafted in highly figured ornamental cherry and features a split top drawer. Similar to the CH201 version, this case is built with single wide board top and sides, rather than several boards glued together. The case measures 34 inches wide by 19 inches deep and stands 36 inches tall. The top measures 36.5 inches wide by 21.25 inches deep. Built with traditional joinery, the case features hand cut dovetails as do the drawers. The drawer blades are mortised and tenoned into the case sides, and the front case edge is accented with a chamfered corner ending in lambs tongues. Each drawer front is finished with molded lipped edges. The chest sits on straight bracket feet and is finished with several coats of hand rubbed shellac and authentic lost wax cast solid brass traditional pulls.

Chests can be built to client specifications in a range of sizes, styles and wood species, including walnut, tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, and mahogany.
