Handmade to receive a painted finish, this blanket chest is constructed from single wide poplar boards rather than several boards glued together. At the case, measurements are approximately 46 inches wide by 18 inches deep and 24 inches tall. Built with traditional joinery, the case features hand cut dovetails. The lid features a through tenoned molded edge and is hung with traditional iron strap hinges. For interior storage, the chest includes a built-in wooden till. The entire piece rests on hand turned bun feet and is prepared for a custom hand painted finish.
Chests can be built to client specifications in a range of sizes, styles and wood species, including walnut, tiger maple, flame birch, cherry, and mahogany.
